Whether coming from Malaysia, Singapore or further afield, here are some helpful tips for your stay at Rimba Resort, Pulau Sibu Island, Malaysia
- Have Malaysian Ringits handy on arrival for jetty and parking fees, as well as the use of the washroom at Tanjung Leman jetty.
- Jetty fee / RM4.00 per person / ticket to be purchased at the jetty counter and given to the security guard when boarding at the jetty entrance.
- Parking fee / RM 8.00 per car, per day.
- Dress for boat rides, as you can get a little wet. Please use life jackets provided.
- Pack lightly / sport bags and small backpacks are recommended rather than suitcases.
- It is wise to bring along insect spray as the mozzies are out at sunrise and sunset.
- If you are sensitive to sand flies or intend lying on the beach, use sun tan oil or anything oily i.e. baby oil to protect your skin.
- No need to bring your own beer, wine and alcohol as Rimba Resort is fully stocked and charges corkage in the bar and restaurant. Rimba Resort also has a tiny shop in case you forget any necessities.
- Bath towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels.
- Please inform us of any food allergies or if you are a vegetarian or have any other special dietary requirements before arrival.
- Please note that if you are the only guest taking the mini-van transfer then a choice of pick up is allowed, otherwise the pick-up / drop-off point is Newton Circus parking lot only.
- Singapore customs to Malaysia; guests are required to exit the van and walk through customs (luggage remains in van).
- Malaysia to Singapore customs; guests are required to exit the van as well as carry luggage through Singapore customs.
- All prices are subject to 15% tax and service charge.
- Payment is either made by Visa / Mastercard, Malaysian Ringits or Singapore Dollars on departure at Rimba resort.
