Snorkelling, diving, swimming, sleeping, walking, jungle, beaches..... or just relax.
Jungle Walk and Island Wander
Jungle trekking is a great way to explore Sibu Island. Sibu Island is quite unspoiled with its natural beach resort style, so exploring the lush jungle and rugged paths is both fun and exciting.
It is ideal for
an easy 25 minute walk from Rimba to neighbouring resorts or alternatively
an adventurous 50 minute coastal walk to the island's village, "Kampung
Duku".
The fishing village "Kampung Duku" takes you to the southern most point
of Sibu Island's beauty in all its splendour of jungle, beaches, cliffs
and hour glass shape.
It is not likely that you would bump into many tourists in the village,
as the local people lead quiet lives and this is what helps to make Sibu
Island special, as it remains untouched and hasn't changed dramatically
in 20 yrs.
Volleyball, beach walking, swimming, snorkelling...
Fishing trips can be arranged as casual line fishing is allowed in the
park; however the more serious fisherman will have to rent a day boat
and head 2 nautical miles out to sea for larger game fish.
Alternatively you could stay and relax on Rimba Resort's private beach, swim in our bay, play beach volleyball or explore the house reef with its abundant coral and marine life.
